Suhaila Tauheedsuhaila tauheed

Having a strong medical background and vast experience as a counsellor and psychotherapist, Suhaila became a Trustee of Sue’s House in March 2015. Suhaila helps make sure Sue’s house is carrying out its purposes for which it was set up in 1984. She also assisted Gerald Reading in maintaining the smooth running of all day to day responsibilities.

Since the death of Gerald Reading in January 2021, Suhaila has been responsible for making sure Sue’s House is kept up to date with Charity commissions and all other authorities’ requirements, especially during the Covid 19 pandemic, ensuring the charity is adhering to all government guidelines.

I was introduced to Sue's House after spending a week at the Bristol Cancer Help Centre (now called Penny Brohn Cancer Care) in 2002.  I am a great believer in emotional healing and I have been coming to Sue's House for treatment ever since.  I have worked and volunteered in the voluntary/community sector most of my adult life mainly in "hands-on" roles but also doing a lot of administration and management.
